What does March like in Fields of Mistria?
March is Mistria’s blacksmith, celebrates his birthday on Spring 16, and is one of the game’s marriage candidates. His strongest collected gift theme is mining: perfect ores, valuable ingots, Meteorite, and the Dragon Forged Bracelet appear among his Loved gifts. For an easier routine, several ordinary ores and ingots appear in his Liked list.
Do not spend a perfect ore automatically if it is needed for crafting, a quest, or collection progress. Talk to March and choose a verified lower-cost gift until a Loved item is genuinely spare. Version 1.0 includes his completed ten-heart and marriage path.
Who is March?
March works as the local blacksmith and takes pride in the quality of his craft. The collected character profile describes his family connection to a line of master craftspeople and identifies him as single and romanceable. Friday evening at the Inn is highlighted as a place where players can see a less guarded side of him, though daily schedules can change with seasons and events.
His role explains why metal and ore dominate the gift list, but it does not make every mining item a Loved gift. Flowers, forageables, archaeology items, and bugs appear among negative categories in the collected table. Always check the exact item rather than gifting by theme alone.
March’s Loved gifts
Loved gifts collected from the current character data
---
Dragon Forged Bracelet
Gold Ingot, Mistril Ingot
Meteorite
Perfect Copper Ore, Perfect Iron Ore, Perfect Silver Ore
Perfect Gold Ore, Perfect Mistril Ore
Sushi Platter
Many of these are rare, processed, or later-game items. Separate “Loved” from “easy to obtain” when planning a routine, and confirm the current Wiki page after a patch. A Love label does not mean the item has no better use elsewhere.
Easier Liked gifts for March
March’s collected Liked list includes Copper Ore, Iron Ore, Silver Ore, Gold Ore, Mistril Ore, and several corresponding ingots. It also includes Beer, Chocolate, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Mocha, Grilled Eel Rice Bowl, Perch Risotto, Red Snapper Sushi, Sea Bream Rice, Sesame Tuna Bowl, and Spicy Crab Sushi. Ordinary ore can be a more practical early choice than a perfect-quality resource.
The list should be read item by item. Perfect Ruby and Perfect Sapphire appear in negative categories in the collected character table despite March’s interest in ores. Use only gifts listed in the current character data, or choose conversation instead of risking a valuable object.
How do March’s heart events work?
Relationship events depend on more than reaching a heart number. Confirm the previous event, story progress, season, day, time, weather, and map location before concluding that the event is broken. Old Early Access guides that stop March’s progression at eight hearts are no longer current for version 1.0.
This page avoids reproducing full event dialogue or unverified choices. If an event does not trigger, check the current March heart-event page and re-enter the location during its valid window. Treat old video schedules as clues rather than definitive 1.0 requirements.
Can you date and marry March?
Yes. March is included among the marriage candidates, and version 1.0 provides ten-heart proposal and wedding events, marriage, and optional children. Build friendship, complete his relationship path, and follow the current in-game dating and proposal prompts.
After marriage, other characters the player had dated move to best-friend status according to the official 1.0 FAQ. See the romance guide for the shared system and the gift guide for cross-character choices. Character-specific event details should remain on this page to avoid conflicting instructions.
